The Weekend!

Well this weekend was a pretty good one. Kaylie came back from Cedar because she had a feeling that I needed her. It turns out that I really did and she was an answer to my prayers! I definitely needed her!
The weekend started out going up to South Sevier to the football game with Kaylie and her parents to watch her brother Josh play. He didn't end up playing but it was still worth it because it ended up being pretty fun! It was WAY cold though, but luckily I took a huge coat and my beanie and kept pretty warm. We did end up losing 21-20. Just one little point! It was a good game though, I think!

We stopped at Maverick to get some fro-yo!

At this point we couldn't get a normal one because either one of us kept making weird faces...

We got home around 1:30 that morning and Kaylie slept over and we stayed up talking until 5:00 in the morning about things that have been bothering us. I guess you could call it a real actual heart-to-heart.
Saturday morning we woke up at 9:30 only after having like 4 hours of sleep. We were tired! My grandparents came the night before so we could all go on this four-wheeler ride/hike. My mom let Kaylie come and I have to say, I had a lot of fun! We rode in the Ranger with my grandparents until we got to our first hike. We hiked down to this really cool arch.

Of course my brother had to climb up on top of it...

Our next hike was longer than the first. We hiked about 1 1/2 miles to this Indian house that has been there for a really long time. There were still evidence that there were other houses there too. It was way cool!

The little Indians' playhouse!

Some really awesome ruins!

So here is my philosophy on Indian writing. I think that when the little Indian boys hit the age of however old they had to be to become "a man" they went out into the middle of nowhere and just got realyl extremely bored so they decided to write on the walls. It's like nowadays graffiti, they just couldn't help it. Now some might have significance but I think my philosophy makes sense haha because we still do it today!

There were random holes everywhere and nobody knows why....I just thought they were cool!

I know it's illegal (thanks to the BLM) but I collected some pottery.....yeah hopefully I don't go to jail now for telling people about it....

Heading back in the DUNE BUGGY!
After we got back and got all cleaned up Kaylie picked me and McKenna up to eat at Rewind. The food was really good. I even treied apple beer! I didn't expect it to come in a bottle that looked like an actual beer bottle so I felt a little stupid drinking out of it. Kaylie got pictures but I will have to post those later when I get them. We also went to the movie "Love Happens." Such a great, feel good, make you cry movie. I loved it a lot! We drove around for a while afterward of course, that's like all there is to do here in Kanab! I had a lot of fun!
Sunday after church I went for a drive with my dad and the rest of my family up on the mountain to pick up Delaney. We met them at Duck Creek by the lake/pond/whatever the heck that thing is called. It was still really pretty up there, but the leaves are all dying and just isn't as pretty as it was a couple weeks ago when I went to Brian Head. It was also really cold up there.

On the way back we saw about 50 or more deer in a field. It was pretty cool! Of course my dad being my dad had to stop and drive by them slowly to observe them.

Psh the BLM has good reason. It is historical evidence to what went on before and if people take it we have no idea what the past was like! Just a little tad of info :)
