My classes are going pretty well. I'm taking Psychology 1010, Spanish 1, a Food and Nutrition, and a couple Institute classes. In Psychology, it's not that it's not interesting, the professor is a little hard to keep up with and it will be interesting to see how the next feel months go with that class. My Spanish class is pretty great. The professor went on a mission to Chile and he is very animated when he's teaching and we laugh a lot in there. My Food and Nutrition is one of the most boring classes. She reminds me of my old drama coach and can kinda bug me sometimes. Plus being in a class for 2 1/2 hours is hard enough. But she brings us fruits or vegetables every class and is pretty nice.
I LOVE my institute classes! They are the best ever! I'm taking an Atonement class from my teacher that I had the last two semesters I went to school and when I walked in he said "Is that Kelsie? I'm so glad you're in my class again!" Yes, he remembered my name and who I was. I love that about Brother King. His reasoning for knowing everyones' names is that the Savior knows the names of everyone and loves everyone so he loves everyone and tries to get to know everyone and why the Savior loves them. He is the best teacher ever! I also love the fact that there is a class all about the Atonement and we focus on Christ and how He suffered for all of us. I just love it!!!! I can't even say how much I love it!
My second institute class I'm taking is Missionary Prep. (yes family, you read that right :) )I love this class too! My teacher is Brother Ellsworth and he knows my grandparents and I had a crush on his son in third grade and became friends with him my first semester here. He's way nice and just so awesome! I'm also now the Missionary Prep. class Rep. I feel like he's really trying to get to know me and we talk before and after class and he's just a great guy. I'm also in that class with my cousin Austin and his friend Ben so that just adds to how awesome it is! The other day we had to get in "companionships" and teach about repentance. I paired up with another girl (there are only 3 of us in there) and we got to teach Austin and Ben and they taught us. It was so funny! I know it wasn't supposed to be but we couldn't help it. They used these voices and it just cracked me up. I can't even explain it. It's so awesome teaching the gospel, even if you only have 2 minutes to teach.
I went to my new ward for the first time on Sunday. I went with one of the girls that live over around these parts. Her name is Jaclyn. We actually have a few things in common, like singing, sending missionaries off (but she's waiting for one and I wouldn't technically say I'm waiting for one.) That's about it. She is in charge of the music for the ward and that also includes the choir. So I got to sing in the choir and am a member of the choir. Of course the bishop found me after sacrament meeting and I got to meet with him. He gave me a calling. I'm in the music committee. Yay! I didn't see that coming at all (one word of advice: don't tell the bishop things you're good at. He'll find a calling for you on the spot.)
Last Saturday I went to the temple with Landon, Dalton, and some of his friends to do baptisms. Dalton got to do the confirmations so that was pretty cool! There were so many people in there I was amazed, but it's so awesome! We ate at Iceberg and they headed back to Cedar. They weren't down here for very long but I was so happy to have them come down and visit me!
Monday night I was late for FHE and they had left and it was raining pretty hard. Instead of coming straight back, I headed over to the temple. I got out (in the rain) and took some pictures and walked around. It was amazing!! The temple was so pretty in the rain and the light. Loved it! I'm so grateful to live so close to a temple.

That is all for now!! :) Oh, and also Matt has now officially left the MTC in Provo and is in Guatemala!!
