Spring Break!

Once upon a time there was a girl that was a senior in high school. She was really excited for Spring Break to come because she gets sick of school and it stresses her out. When Spring Break finally came along she was so happy! She made all kinds of plans with her friends. The first official day of Spring Break she went to young womens at 2:00 and made a really fun FHE activity that tells the true meaning of Easter. She had a lot of fun! Later on her friend McKenna texted her and they decided to get their friends Aaron, Josh, and Matt to meet them at the church to figure something fun to do. They talked and laughed and she got to longboard a little bit. All at once it seemed, the wind started blowing harder and it got colder outside. She decided to call her dad and they headed over to his house. There they made cookies and had ice cream on top of them. Then they played a really funny game of Apples to Apples. The friends laughed a lot! They had so much fun!

On the Second day of Spring Break, she got to work all day. That wasn't very fun and didn't make her very happy. When she got off work her friend Kaylie texted her to tell her she was in town. This was also April Fools Day. Kaylie brought her roommate Jessica with her. They walked and drove all over town giving Jessica a detailed tour of where the girls live. They ended up at Kelsie's dad's house again to play Apples to Apples. The boys (Matt, Aaron, and Josh) were in St. George seeing a movie and having boy time so they played the game alone. The boys texted the girls and asked what they were doing. Kelsie got them convinced they were at the Sand Caves roasting marshmallows and having fun. When 11:00 hit Josh texted Kelsie inviting all the girls over to his house to eat ice cream. The girls all decided that would be fun and they finished up their game. Once 11:30 hit and McKenna had to be home, they headed out to Kaylie's car. The windows were foggy and we had no idea what was coming. Kaylie started the car and started backing up when out pops these three boys from the backseat. They scared all of us half to death! They told us they had been out there for 45 minutes and had driven out to the sand caves looking for the girls. Those silly boys! That was the highlight of Kelsie's day!

The third day of Spring Break, Kelsie woke up early to get ready for the adventure her, McKenna, and Delaney had been planning for over a week. After Kelsie picked up McKenna and Delaney and they drove to the wonderful land of St. George. There they saw "The Last Song" and cried and just had a good time. They ate lunch at the famous restraunt Durangos which was ever so yummy. Then they went shopping at the mall. They got back into town around 7:30 tired and worn out from there awesome adventure!

The fourth day of Spring Break Kelsie woke up fairly early to go over to her dad's house for some pre-easter festivities. Her family was coming from various places to get together to eat. They got there around noon and they all headed to the business of Subway and Junction for food. The teenagers rented movies and were on laptops and other electronics all day. Kelsie got to take a little break and go with Kaylie to take some pictures. It was a little break that ended up being well worth it and fun! When she got back the family ate dinner and colored easter eggs. It was pretty fun!

Kelsie attempted to make a Batman egg but it kinda failed...

On Easter Sunday Kelsie woke up to family coming upstairs at about 8:30 in the morning. The whole family got together and ate a big "brunch" that was ever so delicious! All the family talked and enjoyed each others company. Pretty soon the adults decided to have an "egg hunt". They ended up taking all the teenagers phones and hiding those too. It wasn't very fun.

Then they all decorated some sugar cookies and then Kelsie talked her family into going up to the Sand Dunes to roll some easter eggs down the hill. It was very windy and a little cold, but pretty fun!

On the way back from the Sand Dunes the parents got a great idea to go on a hike. Kelsie and Delaney didn't feel like going so they stayed in the car. Kelsie did steal a couple pictures from Kim.

Kelsie and Delaney got bored and decorated their cell phones with some fun fingernail polish.

On the final day of Spring Break, Kelsie's little brother Mason woke her up around 9:00 to tell her to go upstairs to get her easter basket. The easter bunny didn't come on easter because of all the family that was there so they celebrated it a day late. The family went on a hike up Squaw Trail and back.

The word YES and the arrows from Kelsie answering someone for prom were also still there from a year ago.

Once upon a time there were parents that had a great time with their kids during spring break, and were very happy and thankful that their kids are so wonderful.

The parents had an especially fun time watching the kids looking for their hidden cell phones. ;)

Love you Kelsie!
